Angels' Voices Speak Up!

Our Mission Statement

A Voice For The Voiceless

Whether it be a battered woman,
an abused child, or helpless animal,
we want to speak out for those who can't speak up!

About Us

I founded Angels' Voices Speak Up in 2004 after I learned of the horrific death of an 8 year old little girl from Richlands. Her biological Aunt had sent me a private message from a message board and asked if I would speak out about child abuse
locally. At first I was very reluctant and for about 3 weeks I was unable to sleep. While out walking one day. I was
praying and asked God what I, as one person, could do in this little girl's death.

Shortly after that I had an idea placed in my head that said: "Angels have wings but no voices. So God created child
advocates. Speaking out for those who can't speak up!" Then and there I decided to have a "Walk to Remember"
the little girl and hold a pig pickin' on the anniversary of the little girl's death. I saw a friend, Jimmy Harris, whom I trust
and asked him to help me get some tee shirts with that saying. I then went and asked a former school teacher, Martha
Warren, to help me in this cause. After the barbecue I thought that was all we were suppose to do. Then the director of
the women center asked us to help on a fashion show, which we did this past February. I am proud to say what started
with one individual has now grown to many equal minded people and the organization has started to gain a life of its own.
All of us are volunteers and believe that love shouldn't hurt. Our mission statement is to be the "Voice Of The Voiceless."

We registered with the secretary of the state of North Carolina on June 21, 2005.

Whether it be a child, woman, or animal. We want to bring awareness to a problem of child abuse and domestic violence
that is still kept in secret in many cases. It is our sincere desire to be able to reach out to others in a positive way
for a very negative situation. Please help support our cause by joining in the fight against Family Violence.

We measure the success of a project not by the bottom line,
but by how many lives God allows us to touch.

Next to Jesus, Murphy has taught me more about loyalty and unconditional
love than any human could ever do. If I was even ¼ the person she thinks
I am, the world would be a better place for it.

God spelled backwards is dog, both are man's best friend!
